biggreenjeep 06-13-2002, 10:44 AM I did a search and found one post that said there wasn't a carrier break for 9 inch rears. Could someone confirm this for me. I have 31 spline axles (now with bent splines) 5.14's with a full spool and the pinion housing cracked all the way through so I just need some info before I head to the junkyards.....Thanks Tom alx 06-13-2002, 11:11 AM correct any 9" housing will work for you ,well almost there are the war case's and nodular cases and if im thinkin right they have bigger carrier bearings and beefer pinion supports but other than that there is no carrie break :beer: welndmn 06-13-2002, 11:30 AM no carrier brake in a 9 biggreenjeep 06-13-2002, 11:49 AM thanks for the quick response guys, time to hit the yards and see what I can come up with....
