Looking for real world numbers for dodge 2500 gassers both towing and regular driving. After my last truck I have learned not to pay much attention to the numbers in the window.

Thanks.

I'm interested as well. Don't tow enough to really make a diesel worth it, but would like the extra truck over the 1/2 ton.

It would be good to also list if manual or auto, and what gears/tire size running. Sorry if I hijacked.

I am intrested in the new trucks with the 330hp hemi. I will be graduating college soon and want something that I can commute in but also tow 5k behind without a problem. I like the dodges because of the warranty. I am one of the few people that buys a truck and keeps it for a its lifetime or pretty close to it.

Then why do you need a new truck? :flipoff2:

Because now that I am done with school I need something I can tow my heap around with. And my 01 ranger has 141k on it. So by the time I graduate I will probably have 160k+ very hard miles. So I figure its time to start looking into something that more reliable and will last me another 7+ years.

If you want something that will last, look into a diesel. Yes, they cost more, but they are a hell of a lot more fun than the hemi's.. I've driven both, plenty of miles, and I will pay 5k extra for the diesel everytime I have the chance. I love mine.
