I have an 82 chevy that i need to get more flex out of it. My ? is should i use the 62 inch springs or run a revolver type shackle. If i use the spring i will have to move the spring perch and i already have the shackle flip so what do you guys think. Just want to know what has been done before.

do a search on revolver shackles, and you will get more feedback then you want. They are kind of a sore subject around here. I would go with the longer springs, les problems. <IMG SRC="smilies/usa.gif" border="0">

I would say go with longer springs. Advoid the gimmics, They arn't usally all that they are made up to be.

I run revolver shackles on my YJ and they work awesome! Tons more flex with no additional side effects. Id go revolvers!

I've seen the revolvers on off-road.com's potent rodent. to make it work you need to do a shackle flip w/ ORD or make your own and it worked pretty badass. i have the ORD w/ a "Springer Flip" and it works crazy. here's springers site, http://www.springersuspensions.com/ , and here is my site, 4x4.alloffroad.com (http://4x4.alloffroad.com) i have the camo oneif you need any more info let me know

me and frizzlefry use 89-96 ford 1/2 ton ford springs, there damn soft

I love the 63" GMs on the rear of mine... they're off 88 & newer GM pickups, I belive 2wd & 4wd are the same spring.

anyone ever try to combine the springer shackle with what full size rule has done with mounting the springs under the frame? i have always liked the springer shackle system since I first saw it.. but I dunno what to do now. thanks. Garrett
