The same farmer that has the F-600 I'm looking at also has three trailers that go with it. A 4 car wedge, and 2 48' flatbeds. They're all set up for vacumn over hydraulic brakes.
I've heard that these can be nightmares to deal with, So, if the deal works out, I intend on scrapping the system. Would it be easier to convert to electric over hydraulic, or just strait electric?
Currently, I'm running strait electric on my trailer, and have no complaints whatsoever. They'll lock up and throw me into the windsheild any time I want them to.

What's bad about the vacuum system? My Pop's trailer had them, but I don't really know if they were good or bad.

I've been told that they're a pain in the ass to work on, and they need to be worked on alot.

vacuums are okay when newer, but when old and tired they can consume time and money.....

buy a fricken air brake trailer and be done!
