I need to put 4.88s and an open carrier in my front D44 and 4.88s and my new ARB in the rear Tacoma diff. Are there any good shops on the west side of the bay for this? I don't want to drive all of the way up to gearmans shop during the week (gas money + time off work) otherwise I'd have him do it.

Forget Rear end specialties. i ahve taken many cars to them, and they are not worth the money they charge you. Take your stuff to Gearman up in Sac. I have him do all my gearwork now. PM me, and I will tell you about why I don't take my work to RE Specialties

I'll second Flatty on the No to Rearend specialties. I have had bad experiences with them twice

Funny, you read about all these people having bad experiences with various diff shops. But in the 8 years this website has been alive, I have yet to hear anything remotely negative about Gearman's shop RCD. And no, it's not because he is a Pirate. People are always more than happy to post bad $hit about Pirates. <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">
