: Campfires!!!!! :)
Disco 10-17-2001, 02:53 PM I just called the Pacific Ranger District and camp fires are now legal if you have a campfire permit. They lifted the ban Monday.
It's still dry up there so make sure they're not to big of fires if you have one.

Any Forest Service office can issue you one free of charge. Also, if you see a Forest Service Vehicle stop them and they will issue you one. GET IT!!!

As disco stated campfire permits are free, it just lets them know its not a raging forest fire and not to air drop retardend on you..

You can also get them from the CDF station at Alta? At least I think it's Alta. It is right past Colfax right off of the freeway.

down here you can't gather any wood on the ground for fires, you have to bring it in or buy from the Ranger station.(and of course, fires only in fire rings) So I figured they would charge for the permit

GRABBER 10-17-2001, 11:53 PM Finally, I live up here in the fuckin woods, and most of my enjoyment is just getting out, sitting around a campfire shootin the shit.
Now maybe I'll make an overnighter out of it.
I sure wish people would be more responsible with thier fire activities, and maybe the people that know what the hell thier doing wont have to suffer.
