yes, otherwise your tire will track about 1.5-2" behind the center line of the fender.

I have 4.5" kit on my 92 with just lowers, flexes great for me.

Need the UCAs to help with the angles. My old Rustys crap kit was just LCAs, RE kit has been great.

Mine flexes as well as my buddys coil-overed SAS Exploder.

I agree that a nice set of uppers and lowers makes the stock 5 link flex great. Just saying UCA's aren't a 'necessary' upgrade to run 4.5" of lift.
