I've searched and no-one has done this as far as I can tell. Will the RE brackets fit the F250 Front D44? This D44 is quite a bit wider since it has webbing to support the spring?

Thanks in advance.

the only part i could think of having trouble with is the driver's side UCA bracket since it goes around the diff...i have not seen them up close but from the pictures, but i think it should work.

Have grinder?
Have welder?

You can make anything fit.

It would be a heck of a lot easier for you to take your tape measure to your existing front axle, and do the measurements yourself for comparison to your dana 44.

Yeah thanks I already knew that!

I don't have access to any RE brackets around here and so I do not know how wide they are. If could measure up off someone's Jeep then I could work it out in a flash.

I was thinking of making the brackets myself, but thought about buying the RE brackets as an easy way out. I don't really want to spring for all the cash if I gotta spend a lot of time modding them. If I do then I may as well make them from scratch.

Hope this has cleared up my request.

The RE brackets are basically about the same as the stock ones, only thicker. They didn't redesign the bracket system, only made stronger ones to be welded onto axles easier than removing & welding existing brackets.

I've only personally seen the rear brackets, and there wasn't much difference. They used 1/4" steel to make them. I can say that the amount of grinding I needed to do on my rear brackets was only about 1/2 hours worth of work.

You can get the fronts cheaper than their advertised $399 through one of their dealers. Try DC Peters at 540-819-0064.

If you're asking me to buy the front kit so you can copy it for much cheaper, :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: . I'll buy it when I get my front axle bought, but I'm not going to give up any trade secrets. I'd rather not mess around with making brackets.

I meant that if I had access to some brackets, or knew the width of the front LHS Upper Control arm inverted U section I could determine whether or not buying RE brackets would be worthwhile for my application.

I think I will just suck it and see.

I have a f250 d44 in my YJ. I think the main problem you will have is the cast in spring perch next to the pumpkin. This is right where the spring bucket/lca bracket sits and you will have to do some major rework of the brackets to get it to fit here. I would look for another axle from a 1/2 ton because they don't have the cast in spring pad.
