Los Angeles 4X4 club

Does anyone know if there is a 4X4 club (a group of cool offroaders:)) near Los Angeles that is willing let in newbie?

I got friends that have 4x4 and they don't do anymore than powerline roads(or mod their trucks). I don't want Extreme (not yet), but something a little more than Powerline roads.

Look in www.cal4wheel.com under south district clubs. I'm sure you could find a local one on that site.

http://www.spinninfours.com/forums/index.php, check out our bulletin board. We're mostly based around the San Gabriel Valley/Orange County area. Good group of guys running lots of different trails in the area. We also venture out to Moab, Rubicon, CO, AZ, etc.
