Are you lifting it this summer? If you do you could:
1. Drop the t-case skidplate
2. Install the cheaper hack & tap SYE kit from RE (Still need the new driveshaft though)
3. Sawsall the fenders and run a Shannon Cambel hood. Then you can run 38's with 4 inches of lift

Or just go with 31" swampers and little or no lift...:barf:

in the next 2 or 3 weeks ..
soa.. replacing the the d 30 and 35 with d 44;s

35's then hopefully leaving it alone till this winter..

maybe a cheap locker in the rear44

Hmmm...

If your stock driveshaft was the right length after the 44 swap (doubtfull) then my guess is you would need a 2-3" drop for the t-case with SOA and slip-yolk.

You'd loose the belly clearance that the SOA lift gained you, and the motor mounts won't be happy with the new down angle to the t-case. But its just temporary so what the hell!

2-3" tcase drop, are you sick, that pretty much defeats the purpose of the lift

Buy a SYE from www.AFM4x4.com for $259.95 an get a front CV driveshaft off a Wagoneer and have it cut down to length. It isn't free, but it doesn't cost $700.

If its just temporary and you just want to destroy it this summer why don't you do whatever lift you want, then lengthen your stock shaft (you could even do that yourself if you don't mind a non-balanced shaft) and live with shitty angles for a summer. That'll cost you next to nothing. And BTW, don't lower your corssmember 3" thats asking for trouble. 1" will do it.

OR I have seen used cases with the SYE for pretty cheap, you know from the guys that sold out to an Atlas or something dumb like that.

wait whats wrong with atlas?

thats the plans this comming winter..

a 5.0 nv 4500 atlas 2

i say a sye tail shaft from rubicon express for 179 bucks.. think i might have to..

ive got a local guy who will make my cv shaft and then lengthen it when ineed so guess ill pick this up and sel it when it this winter.

If you have a 4banger its' easy to make cheap 1" motor mounts. Just use a 6cyl mount on the drivers side, and then on the passenger side, weld a lift bracket. It'll give you about 3/8" which doesn't seem like a lot, but it made my driveshaft angle a lot better.

Tom Woods has SYE and driveshaft kits for $400. www.4xshaft.com

Yeah, it's still $400 but it's not $700. Also, you will be able to recover some of the cost when you sell the T-case after the drivetrain swap.
