I have a stock (to your standards) early bronco. Im in the middle of putting a 347 and a nv4500 in it. It has 3.50 gearing and I was wondering if that's gonna make it a little troublesome to drive around town/on the highway? I would get the lower gearing but I can't afford the lift i want, the tires, and the gearing yet. (kinda have to do it all at once). I plan on going with a 5.5 lift and 36's or maybe 37-38 with some clever fender trimming and 4.88 to 5.29 gearing. I was wondering if I would be able to drive that around for atleast a year with that low of gearing without the bigger tires? appreciate it, thanks.

I had a 347/NV4500 in a 4Runner that ran 4.11 gears. You can leave the 3.50's and just start off driving in Granny gear, not 1st(Numerically 2nd) gear.
Normally you would want to regear, but with the NV4500, you have soo many shifting options. I found that with my 4.11's, running 40" boggers, I could not use the overdrive. The gearing was too low and at 70 mph, the engine was not in it's power band.

Changing you gears would be ideal, but if it is not in you budget, then leave it and just shift more.

Just my $0.02

sorry I'm just trying to make sure I understand right... do you mean it was too high? and if i were to go with the 4.88-5.29 right now with the smaller tires would that be way too low for street driving?

Yes, you are right,
Numerically low, but actually geared too high.
