: Paragon Trail ?
flimmy 06-14-2002, 02:18 PM How bad are the level 5 trails at Paragon ? I am thinking of going to the Pocono Trail Fest and want to know what trails to try. Does anyone have pic's of the trails ? If you can't post pic's email them to me and I will post.
Rob Kosinski 06-14-2002, 02:45 PM Go to www.paragonap.com for more info and pics of trails on the map section. Paragon is the place to be.
flimmy 06-14-2002, 03:49 PM Been there and seen them. Just wanted some info and pic's from someone thats been there. How does it compare to Big Dogs 9 and 10 trails down in Gore. I was there this past weekend and ran the 8A and 9 trails. Rode along on the 10 trail because of a bad pinion bearing. But it looked like my 4runner would have done fine. It's got 38's, F&R lockers, dual cases, and more.
davefj40 06-14-2002, 05:05 PM you'll have plenty of fun on the undertaker,m-trail,death valley, ect. plenty to keep you busy. it's not a BIG DOG'S event, that's for sure. not as much testosterone flowing but still has nice rigs and good wheeling. will not see 2 jeeps trying to push each other around then one drive on top of the other
i've been to the last 2 trail-fest , hope this one's better. the wheeling is good but food and such isn't and wasn't really organized last year. think bob hazel doesn't give too much a shit anymore, maybe it'll be different this year.
woody on the cruiser page has some pics and on the ih8mud.com site i believe.

flimmy 06-15-2002, 06:22 AM anyone else ?
Rob Kosinski 06-15-2002, 07:29 AM I think you will be well equipped for most stuff in the park. The new hottest trail is death valley. Its pretty wicked. It should take all day. Sign up for the hardest stuff you can and have a blast. You will be fine. If not you can always ride on the easy trails and watch wildlife and smell the flowers. :flipoff2: I hope trailfest is better then last year. RK
badassjeepguy 06-15-2002, 10:22 AM flim, id do pebbles, m trail, probably try death valley, and of course bam bam, undertaker is nothing hard
undertaker is actually very fun. as for it being hard its not till you make it to cadalac hill or whatever they call it now. at that piont most people either winch alot or brake. ive been on that trail about 6 times and have seen maybe 6 rigs make it.

If the hill requires alot of throttle, I'm out. If you can crawl it and it's got good traction I'm in. The toy carb is ok on hills until it starts to bounce alot and your on the gas. Just somthing I need to work on.
The 'Death Spike' section of Undertaker is usually a winch(or 2) or a major break. Only 5 or 6 rigs have actually made it to the top in the 4 years of Paragon's operation. There's a video on the Paragon website, in the media section, of a Geo Tracker makin it to the top. Check it out, dual transfer cases, low gears, tri-link rear setup. The most recent succesful attempt was by Steve, 1meanyj, to my knowledge.
davefj40 06-16-2002, 06:56 AM hey flimmy, if you can make it to the coal miner classic, july 12-14. mostly toyota's and better food/raffles then the trail fest.

Hoyden 06-16-2002, 02:53 PM Were you the white toy on 9 on Saturday?
You know you don't have to pay event fees to run Paragon. It is open gate - you need three vehicles - pay your $35 and wheel - some of the harder trails require a guide.
