Sorry for the quality of these pics... I took them after my 'bro had already shut down the lights in the shop. Better pics in a bit.
The build-up is finally comming along... and with my brother's perfectionist attitude, this thing looks like it rolled out of the factory with a chevy 350.. .
Anyway, I'll post more pics when I get a chance.. next time with the lights on:

Is that a carb mounted on top of a serpentine belt SBC?
That's going backwards in a 4wd build up!

From an inline 6?
It's an '89 l98 TPI motor from a camero-- sans TPI (it was shot).
Went with a monster offroad carb.. *for now*. Supposed to work at extreme angles of attack.. granted, no carb will work upside-down. ... but I Ran out of $$$.
Holly four-short TPI will be the first upgrade I get.
Teaser shots only... overhead lights were already off, and they take like twetny minutes to heat up....

What kind of hood are you using? alt and the carb look close

Good eye.
Right now it's stock. I've got two choices.. If the clearance is too tight, I have a cowl induction scoop from another (failed) proejct. my buddy is a really good body guy... I'll chop a hole in the hood, we'll weld it up, and then send it out to the body shop for color.
Alternativley, there are some cowl induction hoods for sale ... saw some on some of the vendors. But I kind of like the idea of doing it without spending $$$.
