: Air bag dump setup

I am working an air bag dump for my toy hauler truck project that I am working on. I was thinking about using a electric double solenoid to control the air. I drew up a crude drawing to try to explain what I want to do.

The normal inlet air port would be connected to the airbags. Outlet A would go to the air supply from the truck and Outlet B would vent to atmosphere. So in Position 1 you would have air going from the truck into the airbag. In position 2 you have air from the air bag venting to atmosphere. Will this work? Where would I find a solenoid big enough to handle the volume?

Thanks guys

i would look into sport truck stuff. people are bagging trucks left and right, might have what you are looking for

I have been looking at some of them but the ones I have seen seem to just be valves and not solenoids like I want. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place? Thanks for the input.

Try searching for "skinner" or "mac" valves. They are industrial air valves. They are not blingy, but will do what you want. Why do you want a high volume valve, do you want it to drop hard and fast?

There are regulators that let you control how fast it dumps.

Google search air bag suspensions and read lots.

I am just looking for something with 1/4" or 3/8" NPT fittings. I guess I miss spoke when I said high flow. I didn't realize that they had these things with 1" and 3/4" NPT fittings. I will look up skinner and mac valves.
