I have a 240 AC Miller Thunderbolt. I'm looking to weld the axle tubes on my 8.8 so they don't get spun. I know some guys just go at it, others precede it with certain techniques. Any suggestions? 1/8 vs 3/32 rod? I have a ton of 1/8 6011 I need to burn off. Is that appropriate for the job or should I go with 7018, etc. Thanks :D

I think nickel rod is the stuff to use.
