Probably a stupid question, but on my early cj5 the tie rod end hits that nice spring clip that BDS uses to hold the spring together (the clip stands about 1" off the spring pack ) It has a bolt running through it with a bushing. The front springs are Identicle on the spacing of the clips so they are not backwards or anything like that. Is it acceptable to cut that puppy off at the top of the pack (maybe help keep the leaves straight ?) Thanks

I cut mine off where it hit. took the bolts out of the rest of them too so the leaves can seperate.
