What kind of safety glasses are yall wearing? I have some $15 dollar ones from the home depot and they suck, they are uncomfortable after about 10 minutes of wearing them, fog up too easily and slide off easily and at very inconvenient times (like when actively grinding, drilling, etc.) I had heard about paintball glasses, but upon a search, it appeared to be more goggles than anything else. I would prefer to get some that are so comfortable I forget I have them on, fit under a welder's helmet (will help me remember where they are instead of setting them down somewhere.... ) and wont fog up easily (or not at all).

Thanks guys

I use Jackson Nemesis series safety glasses. I get them from my supply house for about $4.00 per pair. They come with the strap as well, so it's easier to keep up with them.

As long as we're on the topic...does anyone know of a brand that has white or clear frames that are comfortable to boot? I have to wear them for school and have a set with a black frame that drives me crazy.

CyberGeek, Thanks! I will check them out next time I head into a Fastenal, which is actually this week anyway.

Experience, the ones I have had a thin metal frame, which I could not see. However, they sucked.

Well this has been discussed at length in several other threads. However lately my favorite are just the basic, clear, wrap-around cheapies you can get from most any MRO place for about $1.40/pr. Safety glasses are consumables so cheap is good. AO Safety sells the same shit at Home Depot for something like 6x the price. The only difference being the stuff at HD has fancy packaging while the cheaper ones come in individual plastic bags.

Buy a bunch, when you scratch 'em toss 'em and open up another pair. All I can find in catalogs right now is the actual AO Safety "Virtua," but there's lots of knockoffs that I would guess all come from the same Chinese factory.

Buy 1-9 at $1.88, or 10+ at $1.73:

The catalog also lists an anti-fog option, use item #114283

I wear mine from the time I get up until I go to bed. Being nearly blind sucks, but at least it's easy to remember my safety glasses.

When grinding, I put on a pair of goggles. After having emergency eye surgery a while back, I don't take ANY risks with my eyes.

+1 on Jackson nemesis.

Cost $4 to $5 per pair and they fit me much better than Uvex.

Jackson is also the only brand I can buy locally in shade #5 green (cutting torch) that's reasonably priced.

Made in Taiwan :(, but they're good quality :).

X2 I go through alot of safety glasses, work and my shop at home. Sofar these have been my favorite. I especially like the fit and comfort. They don't fog up near as often as the others I've worn. I buy these by the box now.

x3, i wear these type of glasses all day everyday at work and they are pretty comfortable. I usually use the ones that have rubber tips on the back behind my ears and a more narrow side.

i wear some Arc Ones....they have a robust elastic strap and they don't fog up (because of impeded ventilation). I wear the fly eye looking kind.
