For our illiterate, ebonic speaking friend above, it's a reference to Stan's 6x6 dodge that was designed and built by Godwin Fabrications with Daniel acting as the middle man. All welding and fabrication was done by John Godwin in his shop, Daniel was merely the parts gopher.

It seems there has been some misunderstandings as of late as to who are really the responsible parties for that project.

yea i am, not my taste either, but the customer is always right. its the principle of the whole thing. the work i did on the bumpers and roll cage i got due credit for, i think. but the thing is i built the suspension and did all of the welding,also built the three driveline brakes. daniel is my friend, but he tends to stretch the truth or just leave it out when conveinient. i've heard him refer to the truck as his and i've also heard him say that he built it ;not true.
yea he helped ,he lined up the job and chased parts , but i did the work. i wouldn't want one for myself ,but it does have it's good points. the guy that owns it, stan pruitt loves it, i figure he's happy because i did a good job. the thing is he didn't know how much of the work i did until i went to visit him at his house. i'm raising this issue on pirate 4x4 because i was told by a freind that i wasn't receiving due credit for my work. i agree that to those of us that have been in 4 wheeling for a while the 6x6 is just plain weird, but my huge truck on 44's doesn't get even a fraction of the looks that the 6x6 gets. it,s gets the attention of people that don't normally give a big 4wheeler a second glance.
i run a small fab shop while in college. i lower, lift do race cars and such. so i've kind've got accustomed to different peoples tastes. the thing is all non-4 wheel drive people think the thing is way cool. in a strange way that promotes all of our 4-wheeling enthusiasm to the rest of the crowd.

Nice entrance, come in insult the regulars... If he's really a friend maybe you should take the issue up with him in private, just a thought. If you want respect might not hurt to show some. :)

Hmmm, sounds like Daniel was the main point of contact for the customer, call him a contractor if you will. With you working for Daniel directly and not the customer directly, that sorta makes you a sub contractor. Ya dont see Spicer badmouthin car companies cause they supplied the parts do ya? If your as good as you say, then make the contacts yourself and get the jobs. Otherwise stay in the subcontractors place and do the work, get your paycheck, and be happy with your obscurity. This sounds like petty bullshit to me. Its a fact of life, the contractor gets the praise or punnishment depending on how the job turns out, wether he did the work or not.

You know I reread that post about the 6x6 and the only time Daniel refers to the project with an I is when he comments on he didn't think it up he only coordinated it. Other than that he refers to himself as the cobuilder and he even has a pic of "the owner," never claiming that the truck is his. I always thought he worked with military truck parts. I knew posting a pic of his Mudtruck would relieve some tension!:D Its a sweet ass truck though. Fully boxed frame, crossover steering (with ram assist soon). Even boogey leafed in the back. It would be awesome on the RTI ramp but not made to see anything like rocks.

i agree that to those of us that have been in 4 wheeling for a while the 6x6 is just plain weird, but my huge truck on 44's doesn't get even a fraction of the looks that the 6x6 gets. it,s gets the attention of people that don't normally give a big 4wheeler a second glance.
