I have the Calmini header and 2" exhaust...
All other engine parts are stock and will stay that way for a while

Does this carb really help??
Is it really worth the $300.?

Anyone want to sell one??

I have one on mine and I don't know if it is jetted wrong or what.It is not all that impressive. It chokes out pretty bad on steep sidehills and inclines.I am thinking of pulling mine off and going back to stock.the grass is not always greener...

Have you tuned it properly or did you just drop it on and go?

There is a person on the OR.C BBS that has a compilation of tunning info.

I have had that same carb for a few months now. I tried tuning it myself, got frustrated and took it to a good shop they tuned it. Still runs like crap on steep inclines and is hard starting. I would add another 150.00 to your 300 and buy an FI kit from aftermarket 4x4.

On flat ground, the webers are awesome, my local sand washes for example, I gained a good amount of power, any incline or descent is frustrating as hell. :mad3: Petroworks told me at EJS this year that they are in the process of "redesigning" the weber for off road use, including a different float, adding a sponge to the float bowl to prevent running out of fuel on an incline. I don't know what has transpired since then, but its worth giving them a call.
