Any recommendations? It'll be for my XD .45 with the 4 inch barrel. I don't want anything that sticks out too far, the stubbier the better so I can still holster it in my tactical holster.

I am anti-laser so I am no help on that aspect.

Visible lasers are useless. Get a TLR-1, X200, or similar LED light.

Lasers and lights work both ways in A shoot out. They can use your light or lazer to get a bead on you.

The Streamlight TLR-2 is a light/laser combo in a relatively compact unit. No experience with one yet - but just talked a buddy out of his for cheaper than I could get a TLR-1 for - sooooo I'll keep you posted :D

Skip the laser. I love my Surefire X200B!'

Edit: it's going to be a bulky package concealed. Do you really need a freggin' laser/light on your CCW gun??

Speaking of lights (no FREAKIN LAZERS) does anyone have any recomendations for a light around $100? I'm looking for something good and bright to slap on the AR15 for shooting hogs and rabbits at night.

I can't carry concealed unless I'm hunting, in which case I carry on my thigh in the thigh holster that I mentioned, afterall it is California. This would be more for inside the home.

I have a TLR1 and TLR2 and love them both, although I NEVER, and I mean never use the laser. Thought it would be fun and cool, but it isnt.

$400 gun + $400 laser = FUCK THAT!!! I'd rather buy another gun and just take twice as many shots! Actually, if I were rich, I'd buy one just for the cool ninja factor, but I can't justify paying as much for a laser as I did for the gun.

or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person.
(3) Causes to be carried concealed within any vehicle in which he
or she is an occupant any pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable
of being concealed upon the person.

12027. Section 12025 does not apply to, or affect, any of the
following:

(g) Licensed hunters or fishermen carrying pistols, revolvers, or
other firearms capable of being concealed upon the person while

I carry that section folded up with my hunting license
