first off, are the 10.25 and 10.50 sterling rear hubs interchangable?
I'm DYING to find a pair of DRW hubs for my 10.25 rear so I can avoid having my Hummer rims recentered, but I can't find squat! All the local used parts guys either say they don't have them, or just never reply to me. WTF?
am I just being stupid? should I be able to find them (myself) at a pick'n'pull?
If i need to buy some from the stealership, is there a particular vehicle (year and model) that I'd be able to reference to find DRW sterling hubs 8 on 6.5"

AFAIK, there is no such thing, the DRW pickups have a wider housing, and the C&C trucks pretty muchare the same WMS-WMS as a SRRW truck.
10.50 and 10.25 hubs are intechangable, outside of the bolt pattern. 10.50 hubs will make for a wider WMS than 10.25 ones will.

Ok they do make a dually rear and a single rear 10.25 axle the main difference is that the backing plates and drums are different. I belive everything elese is the same 98% postive the dually has a deeper drum and a backing plate. Ive seen them right next to each other. I dont know anyhting about a 10.5. where do you live around i might be able to find you one local.

x2 on the wider housings. the single and dual wheel use the same hub. the backing plates are diffrent ( deaper offset ) they use diffrent drums - but the same brake shoes
i beleave the 10.5 is the same set up, but with disks. i think the spindles are the same , but using the 10.25 hub will mean no disks

Probably have to have those wheels recentered. Sorry but ford made the housings hubs and axles all the same. You were probably hoping to do like the 14b guys and modify the width of your axle by using dually hubs. No such luck.

I wanted to run dually hubs because I assumed the WMS would be further out on the hub (hopefully around 3" per side). There is no difference in SRW and DRW Sterling hubs?!?!?
So... the dually sterling just has slightly longer tubes or pumpkin??? I haven't really heard of the term 'housing', so I don't really follow
I've seen ONE DRW 10.50 hub for sale on eBay, but I can't do much with ONE hub... so I didn't buy it to see the difference compared to my SRW hubs.
As luck would have it I have a 14 bolt full float. I wanted to run the Sterling because it has the same ratio as my high pinion front, and better ground clearance than my 14 bolt

10.25 hubs and 10.5 are way diffrent. The 10.5 uses a shorter spindle.
For the 10.25 you have 3 diffrent housings. All using the same hubs, except the DRW has a dowel pin hole.
1. Standard truck
2. DRW Pickup
3. DRW Cab & Chassis

I used a set of the Arrowcraft adapters on my 95 F350 with 9.00R16's.
Yeah, they're spacers, but they're serious beef, all steel construction, and were actually installed by Centurion on Ford conversions that were warrantied by Ford.
Bottom line, worth the $400 price tag.
