I was reading mr n,s article on 44 s and he stated spme came with 1/4 inch tubes. how and the hell does someone buying one know? any way to check?

I have a Ford dana 60 4 sale

F-150 D44s had 2.75 x 1/2" thick tubes 77.5 and older.

F-150 77.5-79 are 3" x 1/4"

F-250s D44s all have 3" x 1/2" thick tubes.

F-150 w/thick tubes will have the removable "c" bushing mounts
