: AZ trail pics
Azrckcrawler 06-16-2002, 05:22 PM This one is called The 6th Day, in keeping the spirit with the other Schwarzenegger trails out on table Mesa. Jack and I were the only ones who could make it on Saturday, we ran maybe a 5th of the trail before heading back out the way we came in.

I love this shot, it looks like Jack is swimming in the boulders.

The rocks on this trail are Asylum sized but lots more of them. Next weekend we'll pick up where we left off at the start of the first big rock garden.

Some of the stuff a mile away at the end of the trail. There's another 3 or 4 large waterfalls like this.

Gotta go. There's work to be done in the garage!
JackA 06-16-2002, 06:07 PM Talk about diff grabber central. That place has boulders on top of boulders. Gotta love it.:D
punkskalar 06-16-2002, 06:23 PM What a sweet trail!! All I can say is that I am going to have to make a trip out that way one of these days with a few buddys... Out here we have 5 miles of dirt and ruts just to find one nice sized rock...
lojones 06-16-2002, 07:25 PM Nice, wish we had more rocks up here in Washington. I'll trade you some dirt, tree roots, and loose lava rock for some boulders...

20 minutes @ 75mph.
Chris,
What part of Arizona are you in? Nearest city, etc....
Azrckcrawler 06-17-2002, 01:39 PM Look under my name :D
Sillyneck 06-17-2002, 01:50 PM So are their greenies in AZ? I'm graduating soon and plan on starting a "real" shop, but I'm not sure where to go. AZ looks like the way to go as I've been lurking. Who's out in the Phoenix area for fab shops? I don't want to step on any toes but if there's room for another fabricator then hell I might be all over AZ in a year or so. Damn fine rigs and sweet trails from what I can see.

The greenies are everywhere. We have a pretty good state association of 4 wheel drive clubs but most of the people I know who wheel aren't a part of it and don't want to be . As far as another fab shop, personally, I feel Phoenix would be a hard market to break into, there are a ton of fab shops down here. Maybe someone closer to the industry could chime in. I am really a DIY kind of guy, I have bought some parts local but most of my fabricating I do myself or with the help of a friend. Seems like most of the offroad rigs I see in the shops are extended cab trucks which will never see dirt or newer Jeeps. One of my friends commented about how every Ford F250 he saw on the street down here was lifted with big tires, I noticed that too.
NC Zuk 06-17-2002, 03:21 PM Chris,
Man, I'm gonna take some vacation and come out there. Way too cool!
Looks like your tail gate finally had enough!
:usa: :beret:
Fab shops are a dime a dozen here. GOOD fab shops are another story.:D

I am talking about all the shiny mall rigs, you know, the ones with 8" lift blocks for the rear  Seriously, the money for a lot of the offroad shops is in lifting rigs that will never see dirt.
