I've heard ESAB supports those machines but have no personal experience. 60% duty at 200A.

wow, 60% is damn good at max amperage.

If you're comparing this to a MM200, it is nowhere near max amperage. MM200 should be close to 300 amps at max amperage. MM200 is good for 60% duty cycle at 200 amps.

Most old airco's were built with miller parts. If you pull the covers on my old airco tig there is miller emblems on alot of the components.

I'm pretty sure the Dip-Pak's were early ESABs. If the machine says made in Chicago or S.Carolina it is more likely so. Maybe it's the NY machines that are made from Miller stuff? Just google Airco as there is all kinds of info there.

We have one, since we got a miller shopmaster 300 its gotten the backseat but it does do a good job and runs our spoolgun very well.

we ahve a dip 200. been our main welder for 6-7 years now.

Parts are next to impossible to find if something goes wrong. we just dumped $500 into it retrofitting a new torch/liner because the original liner was trashed and NOONE could find parts for it.

Other than that... absolutly 0 complaints and flawless performance for as long as we've owned it.

For $500 i'd pick it up.
