: D44 Steering with SRE's...How to?

So calfj60 and I spent a good part of the day Saturday playing with his :fj: He was in charge of firewall MODIFUCATION and I attempted to get the steering in order.

However, I haven't a clue about the proper setup when using SREs in place of TREs so I thought I'd axe for help :D

Working the parts we had available, I ran the tie rod to the driver's side knuckle like so: (note: I left the upper nylock nuts loose)

So as a whole, does it look workable?

Some things to keep in mind:

1. I think the drag link should be a bit longer. IMO, there are too many exposed threads. Thoughts?

2. The final product will run the SREs in double sheer, using safety washers, most likely from Baker Precision Bearing.

Anything else? :D

It must be the angle, but that SRE looks bent!
