Hey everyone... I'm kind of new here. I've been lurking around a bit, but that's about it. I do all my wheeling in my 1979 F150. Obviously, there's a D44 up front right now, and I want to swap in a front D60. I've been searching for a 78/79 front D60 for a LONG time now... They're not easy to find (as I'm sure you all know).

So, I found a newer style 80's kingpin Ford front D60. I've heard of people putting these into their '79 F150's, but haven't really seen too much of it. I've heard it requires quite a bit of fab work because the pinion is 3.5" over towards the wheel, so making coil buckets is a little more difficult?

Basically, I'd love to hear how you guys have put these axles under your late 70s Ford's? Some pictures would be awesome as well.

By the way, I did a search and looked through different posts for a long time... I wasn't able to find anything.

Thanks guys!

look on full size bronco - there is a rig there that used one with radius arms and coils on his SAS - big black bronco

Thanks... I posted over there to see what some of them have to say about it.
