i have a Cj hard top i am trying to sell for around 600 bucks and some hard doors, i have not had much luck. well today i guy wanted to trade me a dodge late model dana 60 front end and a 14 bolt, i said i would get back to him on it. i would like to have a dana 60 front for my CJ but this one is on the wrong side, and has that sleave on it. would it be worth the time to retube it and such or screw it and turn around and sell the sucker...is this a good trade? i need the money more than i need a dana 60 front for now.

I would do it. If you need the money sell the 60 on the for sale BBs. You will get 600 in under 10minutes

what do you mean sleeve? its late model=driver drop right? i think you could get 900+ easy for the 60 plus another 150-200 for the 14b.

Sleeve as in vacuum acuated, unit bearing, coil spring Dana 60? Yeah, I think you could get $600 for that, but not to someone looking to swap it under something. (I don't think)

YJ hardtops will bring that 500 but CJ hardtops go for around 300 or 500 with doors included around here.

Trade now or wait for winter to get more interest, but even then you'll be lucky to get the 500 for a decent shape CJ hard top if your market is similar to ours here on the NM CO state line.

Then definitely get it. I've met guys willing to pay the typical $1000 for that axle because they wanted to put it in their dodge.

It's a lot easier to unload than a hard top and doors.

Brackets are cut off? That sucks - big time. Though you may be able to sell it to a Dodge guy. Some of the 3/4 tons had Dana 44s up front, so it'd make for a good upgrade. I priced them last week, oddly, and found one for $2300 - plus core!

Is it from a dually? (3500 series)

Oh man, no brackets:(

I'd still get it.
