i have been thiking and call me crazy but how do ya all think about this idea. it seems to me that one reason ud get bogged down in mud is no traction. would using hydraulics to push ur axle down a little to find more traction work? or am i crazy?

No, he's got a point! If you carried extremely large hydraulic cylinders onto the trail with you, you could have quick disconnects attached to valves in your truck. Then, when you get stuck in the mud, you could bolt one end of the cylinder to a tree or other stationary object and the other to your axles and conect the hydraulic lines. Then flood the cylinder(s), thereby pushing your tires deeper into the mud. If you wanted to be really slick, you could also have some between your frame and axles so that as your tires go down into the mud you could push your body up to keep it out. I think he's onto something here, guys!
Or you could just winch.
All in good fun, you mighty duck, you.

Yeah good Idear! you stop moving in the mud because Your on your diffs. the mass that is most likely in front of your axel and tire is too great for your traction and vehicle weight to push... so yeah Hydraulics seems like a good idea... Get the FAWKER really buried so not even a skidder could pull it out............ Jeeze! and reguardless if you find hard ground underneath your tires are so gumbed up they would not get traction on it anyway.
