Well I have my hydraulic steering system up and running, and the bugs worked out. It is one of the best mods I have done yet.

Thanks to TheLakeRat for all of the info, and for answering my questions. It is very impressive that he gives away information for free, instead of trickery and deceit that is common in the industry. Nice to be able to find out from him what works for free instead of having other companies sell stock parts for more money with their name on them...

This weekend I Trail Guided a Jeep Jamboree, on their hardest trails. There were 15 or so Jeeps out with me, all with 35" or better tires, and everyone was very interested in my steering.
Well for every "cheap bastard" like me that likes to make their own junk - there are many more who prefer a kit. Well I reccomended the "Redneck Ram" kit to many of the people at the Jamboree, and told them how great a guy TheLakeRat is, and how he helped me build mine for free. These people wanted to buy kits though, and were very impressed with my story of how TheLakeRat has helped out the hardcore wheeling public.

Hopefully you get some more kit sales from my reccomendations LakeRat. You are a great example of how to do business.

Thanks,
Phil Jensen

I got the Box last week Matt, went to the con last thursday-sat, ran my old stuff cause I need to make a new DL for use with the new reverse rotation box, and my little leaking HP p/s hose leaked big time! lol, go to toyota and see the report and pics about Drew's trip:D Wish I had the hydro assist setup on for that trip... he he:D

I'll jump in too. I've got an odd setup that required some changes to Mat's normal GM design. My tires are set in way closer than normal, with the axle moved forward, and very little lift with soft springs, the 42s were perfectly positioned to take out the tap and line if it was in the normal location. He has been fantastic working with me on getting a setup that will work for my rig. He has really gone out of his way for me and I can say that have never dealt with a better company or guy, great service and great prices. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone and he will get all the business I can send his way, I just wish he was local...
