I have a friend who just broke a half shaft in his YJ right at the hub so he has decided to upgrade the front with 30 spline cro-mo inner and outers with a new locker and gear set. We know from the BOM number that the front is a D44 from a 85 Grand Wagoneer. The problem is we cant find what axle the rear is even by the BOM number, which is 603444-7, so we can get the matching gear set. I know I'm a noob here and I'm asking this in hardcore, and no its not Tuesday, but we have searched this thing for the last 3 days so its not like we havent tried, so I ask the knowledge from you. But if you must I am prepared so flame on.

it doesn't come up in dana's database, so that leads me to believe that it is the wrong number. post some pics up of the rear axle. was it out of the same vehicle as the front? its either a dana 44, a dana 60 (unlikely unless its out of a J truck), or an amc 20.

btw, you should post stuff like this in non-hardcore. a lot of the same people that read hardcore, are also reading non-hardcore... just fyi
