uhm.. cut off the spring perches and shock mounts... shift 2-3" to the drivers side, re-attach, shorten drag-link.

Was hoping to get something more next year on a new contract but with fuel prices now we probably wont get squat and be lucky to not get a pay cut. But its still a great job, a little OT last year = 76K, trying for 80 this year.

I did work some today, changed a tire on a 737-800 and replaced a broken copilot seat on a 900. Im there incase something breaks or needs oil servicing or etc-You know ready to spring into action at any second to get the plane repaired and get those hundreds of people to their destination safely :)

you need to go corporate aviation. I take care of one airplane that flys 500 hours (thats alot for one of these) a year. My last job I worked maybe 15-20 hours a week and made almost $100k. I can do contract work (while on duty at this job) and get $70/hour. Toughest thing I did in the last week is change a nav light.

Had a couple homies leave and go to corporate years ago and they regretted it and eventually left and got on with fedex maint, UPS and Fedex are killer jobs for aircraft mechs. They pay close to 40 an hr and the companies always make money regardless of fuel cost or whatever. Maybe the corp stuff down here -Houston just doesnt pay like where you are at. I have 21 years in so unless the airline closes the doors I will have a job.

yeah, some cranes will tip over under the weight of their own hook block if you don't have the angle up enough. and if you put the boom angle up too high with no weight on the hook, they will tip over backwards. those ones need to be assembled and lifted with another crane haha.

Ummm....no. My company owns numerous early and late model cranes...everything from tripple nines to 80 ton hydros to small truck rigs....I have yet to see an LMI on any of them. Theyr'e usually added aftermarket if they do have them.
