It supposed to snow tonight at the top of mt hood a little bit. Its slowly getting colder, and starting to rain allot. Those grey, wet days of the PNW are becoming more frequent.

Does anyone have any really cool mods to make for snow wheeling this year? You know, snow-plows, heated living campers in pickup beds, new snow winch anchors, or whatever. Mabye a device to push out all those "gapers" out of the way when they get stuck behind you so you cant go back down the road... Just wanted to see what was new for winter that I have missed all summer working and not 4x4ing.

I am doubling the size of my light rack as last year I didnt have enough light when it got nasty out. I am also installing a camper shell with a mattress and heat in the back for the truck. Have to bring two of the girlfriends up wheeling this winter to keep me warm back there:smokin:. And my bumper size snow-plow is going to be rad! Ill post up pics after I lay the framework.

I have a set of heated seat heaters from a grand I am gonna put in the plastic RCI seat covers, also I have an old electric blanket I am trying to power with an inverter for the really cold days up here.
By the way, we have had snow here every month so far, west of me about an hour there was standing snow (about 2") for a few days.

Also the inline coolant heater goes in in a week or 2, makes for quick heat.

Got time today to finish installing my lights. HOLY CRAP!! I forgot how bad my headlights lights are at night. Now I fell VERY safe with the extras. Cant wait until tomorrow night to go play in the snow!

Interesting note, I have two different types of lights: The inners are Pilot lights P/N NV-802C purchased for 25 bucks each without covers from Autozone; while the outers are also the same P/N Pilot lights, come with light covers, and purchased online for 19.79 delivered. I just need to find out where I can purchase these wholesale to get black ones.

The outers perform better in ever aspect so far: total light output(by eye), shape of beam, distance light traveled in beam, and amperage draw. The outers also have glass lens while the inners have flat plastic ones. Both are 100 watt. I am doing a write up on a bunch of different cheap lights and can tell you more if interested before I get it done.

The at night pictures do no justice. Outside of the driveway they make so much more light then the picture.

Best mod would be tires bigger than my 33s.:homer:

Ive had a set of 30's out wheel a group of cats with mostly 35" swampers hands down. That was until the snow got over the hood of the d-50... Its all about the new studded tires, with low air pressure, and MOMENTUM!

31's, no lift and no power!!! That's the way you show then how it's done.

As long as getting "it" done involves getting high centered, making lots of noise, blowing copious amount of black smoke as I try to put all 101HP down only to be towed out by a buddy, then yeah I'll show the whole lot of them!!
