I have the last two new ones made (there may be more NOS)
$85 will get you a new one. So a used PTO gear would be less.

do you mean the whole assembley that hooks into the tranny? minus the front part?

No,
I think Rick D is talking about the straight cut PTO gear that rides on the 16 spline output shaft of the tranny...Accessed byt the side cover on the T'case.

-Brett
SOR wants about $50 used IIRC, so figure a more realistic $30 fora used one...

Spyder-

I was speaking of the gear only.

..Brett, those 4sp gears are a lot more rare than 3sp or split case PTO gears. I'd have to say if Marv wants $50 for a used one that may be real close. I have only seen them factory on 1974/1975 transitional trucks and all the 1975-1980 std 4sp trucks never had them (in the US).

BTW, Marv had a BJ40/2 24v a/c evaporator for $175 I bought. I must say there are a few deals to be found at Specter...

I did not realize they were that rare. I have a few used ones. Alot of the trucks I used to come across back east had the gears. By some blind luck i think I have taken apart more of the 4spd combos with the gear than without. Weird. Marv told me years ago to hold on to them cause they were hard to find in the US. I guess I should have listened. (I do have a few still.) So, $50 it is...
