OK I got pulled over and have top get my rig inspected.

I have a '83 toyota with a 4.3V6, SM465, NP205 running to stock toy axles but the back has been converted to disks using stock toy truck stuff.

I was thinking driveline brake but where do you mount the disk on a 205 yoke??

Is ther any calipers that could mount ot my toyota truck mounts? or close?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Go to your local salvage yard and get the backing plates and rotors from a 72 to 87chevy 1/2 ton then find a 77 to 84 cadillac and get the rear disc brake calipers. the 1/2 ton chevy rotors will match your toyota lug pattern and the backing plate should bolt to your rear axle with minor mods and is required to mount the caddy calipers

There is a flat flange 30 spline yoke available for the 205, about 140.00 if I remember right. Hamfist has one in his rig, comes undrilled and looks good. If your into it, send me a email and I'll get the number for Hamfist for ya.

An easy solution would be a $100 line-lock kit from JEGS. Easy to put in, easy to operate, easy to replace, comes in a box, blah blah blah.

Good Luck!!

I have the calipers and they are a pain in the a$$ to bleed and get all the air out. I have seriously considered sh!t canning them and going line locks, or micro-locks...not sure on the "legality" of line locks, so you may want to check first...

Do you have any pictures of this? What caliper would I use a parking brake on the t-case? I have the caddy calipers but they suck so I might put on some stock fronts I have

He'll still fail inspection with this. All it does is hold hydraulic pressure in the lines, you could jam a 2x4 between the seat and the pedal and it'll do the same thing. The whole point of a parking brake is to provide a mechanical means of stopping the vehicle if the hydraulic system fails. Ask John Bondraunt how well line locs work as parking brakes

thanks for the replies guys!

I actually have a line lock already and for some reason the cop didn't like it!

I need a mechanical as mentioned above. Really doesn't have to work that good just for inspection.I may have figured out something that will work off a standard 205 yoke along with another guy in our club that is after the same thing.

On a side note blew a drivers birfield into bits today!
