I had someone tell me that they have now posted rangers a JV. Is this true? Because I heard that now rangers are there and what does that mean?

What are they doing there?

Tell me if you know anything about this.

There have been rangers in and out of there for a long time. We just rarley see them. If they are there it just means you need proof of reg. or a green sticker if they stop you.Helmets for bikes, quads, no double riders. I belive it has been comming for a while with all the accidents lately. If they are there full time it will just calm down the roudy crouds. JV is a Huge place 2nd larges in the state. so saying there are rangers at jv could mean they are at the race course up north or in the middle lake bed or at the hammers.

There general police are dicks (or at least in az). So I ruled them in with it.
I lived in Ca and did not ever find one officer that was nice.

I got a $450 ticket for being 5 feet over the limit with my RV and trailer! And at that time I lived in AZ!:mad3:

Anyways sorry for pointing at all of them I just ment more like 7/10.:p

Don't worry about it. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, and as far as I'm concerned, I hope he tells all his friends how jacked up JV has become!!! Less people to deal with!!!

Should I get to bitch about the ticket I got from AZ fish and game for being "off a marked trail," or should I just accept that it was a BS ticket and accept that they are just trying to protect the enviroment? Oh ya, their just a bunch of dumb shits...:shaking:

Sorry but I must have overlooked where towing 5 feet to long is protecting the enviroment.

Anyways thanks to you guys I now know that JV is just as good as before.

See ya there!

I will agree with you that the CHP can be anal. While I don't agree with some of the laws and BS they enforce. Can you say 55 MPH towing?:mad3: There is a length law in CA, as well as a number of additional stupid laws pertaining to Commercial/non-comercial reg and weight. A number of friends, even some that will be with me this weekend at JV, are over length and weight and they know it. They'll have to deal with that on their own. That's just the way it is, and if you don't like it, don't come here.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I don't like some of the laws in AZ either, so I either obey them or wing it. My dad and a number of friends recieve tickets for no mud flaps on their tow rigs, which weren't even lifted (some were barely lifted, no bigger than 35"s). I think it was BS, but I have mud flaps on my truck so I don't get hassled.

I just got off the phone with a dumb shit Ranger, he said they're charging $100 per weekend for camping on the Lakebed.

Guess I spoke too soon in my previous post. You should just stay in AZ and wheel there, save yourself some cash.

Okay sorry.
Anyways if they don't charge for sites and stuff like that I was worried about then it looks like it should be fine wheeling.

Sorry for really putting down Rangers. It is actually more cops then Rangers I don't like.

Looks like a green sticker and I'll get my rig out there (this time I have a shorter trailer).

Sorry for being a shit head.

Actually, if the rig has plates, you don't need a Green Sticker.

There are only 3 rangers on duty from the Barstow office. Basically they go to where the most people are. So you'll likely see them at the lake or the entrance.

The 2 encounters I've had with them, they have been WAY cool.

Sounds good. I don't got any plates on my jeep so I'll have to get some.

So far in my time at the Hammers, i've NEVER seen or heard of anyone getting hasstled at all. But when i've seen Rangers, i just wave and they wave back !-- (but they are there when somebody really hurts themselves or needs 'medivac').

and MD is really the one you have to watch out for !!!!!!!!!
