what I just picked up for $800
http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n23/tbrown6906/Photo0170.jpg
The good:
80k miles
spring over
runs great
5.83s
my custom snow camo
spooled
calmini power steering
The bad:
2" lift blocks FRONT and rear
stock shocks
stock brakelines
allthread gusseted Zlink
"hot chicks go muddin" airbrushed on the back
Plans are to swap yota axles 5.29s spooled rear lockrite front.
ifs power steering to toyota high steer.
Any suggestions are welcome along with any imput on budget suspension
best budget suspension IMO is go to you local 4x4 shops and score a set of stock wrangler springs. Then build your own install kit. You can buy these but they are expensive when you can do it yourself. Do high steer crossover when you do the powersteering. Nice looking rig.

dude, how in the hell did you pic that up for $800. definitly keep the front lift blocks on there:shaking::barf:. for cheap suspension get the yj's but if you cant find any of those like me, toy rear springs from a 4x4 work great also and are a dime a dozen

Nice score, even though you have to fix a few things.

So i finally got some pics of what ive been working on. First off i decided to go with the yjs but I hate missing links so I decided to extend the frame in the front. I picked up my toys with a disk conversion and spooled rear and bone stock front. The yjs are getting all new hangers welded on instead of the relocation plates. heres some pics

your shackles are on the wrong side :D
haha.im just bustin your balls. it looks good. and good choice on not using those damned missing links. what a nightmare on the street, even if the are bolted shut, like how mine were all the time. id plate the inside of the frame too. just cut the bar out, plate it. and weld it back in. if you cut it right, then it will fit right back in after you plate it.

Yeah i was contemplating on plating the inside too, I guess I will. Today I got the rear springs hung up with four new brackets and got my rear axle ready to bolt up. Check out the bling disk brake conversion. here' a pic of that airbrush for everyone.
