I have ran the Foothill kit on the rear 44 I used to have but I ran a 30 spline one not 19. It took years to break it with the 35's and I was quite happy with that setup but I replace it all once it did break and axle.
The kit is nothing more than flanged full floater moser axles, and Jeep model 30 spindles and hubs. You can keep your brakes or add a 1/2 ton chevy front brake caliper support and calipers to go disk. I ran stock 79 model 30 rotors to match the 30 I had up front.
A postal Jeep is a good place to get the hubs and spindles.

that helps dean, thanks. i'm putting discs on my 19 spline 44 that had the tapered axles.i was under the impression that i needed to use model27 spindles and hubs. so you say that i need the model 30 setup??

I think for the 19 spline they use the 27/25 stuff. Not sure though. I ran the 30 stuff because I needed to fit the 30 spline axles.

okay i'm on the right track then.mike childs is the only one i've seen with the exact same setup i'm going with.i'm having trouble getting the spacing right for the caliper to disc.i'm gonna pick up some sidekick discs tomorrow and try those on for size.the jeep 7/8's rotors don't fit over the hub for proper spacing and i'm not to excited about spacing the hub further out on the spindle.

I used a 1966 narrow track Dana 44 axle hosing with a 30 spline spool. All you need are a set or dana 60 FF shafts to cut down for the axle shafts and the spindles out from a Dana 30 front axle. I used the 11inch drum brakes and made a spacer for the spindle to bolt to and now I have a rear axle that is around 53inches wide compared to the 50.5 that comes stock.
yeah its not full width but for the east it will do fine..
