Hey all, I have been wanting some feedback on these coils. I am getting ready to run two sets of front coils on my 89 K5 . The coils are on their way to me , however just wondered if anyone has used them and if so do ya like em.

Hey Nash! Long time dude.
I ran the 8" for a while....... at least til the rear leafs settled and made me swap to the 6" ones. They flex and ride nicely. Wondering tho........ why coils and shocks instead of going coilover? That's my next step - too bad it wasn't the first!!
Whatever happend to the transverse spring thing?

Here's a flex shot with the 6" coils along with 3" body, flat fender, and 37's allowing the tires to still rub:

Hwy Outlaw, ben a long time. You ask why the coils and not coil overs. Well, we are building up 4 major rigs up at our shop.

#1 is an old VW bug , with a 460 under the hood, Rockwells that front and rear stear. King Coils, and many other tricks. Oh yah and 48" Mich. Tires on 20: beed locked rims

#2 is an old Postal Jeep that has a 2001 Vortec V6, 60 front/rear, Atlass, and KING COILS.

#3 is a Scrambler on Rockwells that stear at both ends, a Vortec 350 under the hood, and oh yah, 53" Michelin Tires on 20" beedlocked rims. This one is getting a fourlink with 8" coils

So I wanted to do something diffrent from the bug, and the postal jeep. And well, I dont have the cash to spend on the coils either. Once the suspension is done, I can always go back and get coilovers. But I think I will be happy with my settup. BTW, I bobbed the hell out of the back of my rig, here is link to see. Hollare at ya later, NASH

Looks good Nash. I like the diamond-plate eveywhere!
Here's the latest of what mine looks like. I'll be moving the rear axle back (a lot, I hope) when I install the 14-bolt. Should balance out much better then.

Trying to find a small pickup to run so this isn't my DD anymore.
