any ideas? i'm looking at a mini 14 on thursday. i dont want to pay an arm and a leg for mini14 mags..

i know the AR mags are wider in the front and it'll take some modification.. anyone seen this done or have any ideas where to start?

well i was looking at the real ruger mags.. are these aftermarket mags any good? that 30 rounder for $10 sounds great :)

I've got a bucket full of various mags for my mini, and it never met a mag that it didn't like.

funny, I never met a aftermarket mini 14 mag that I really liked other than the Ruger ones. The ruger mags have always been 100% and never jam. The aftermarket ones seem to jam a little more. I guess it is a little hit and miss. If you can I would buy some of the 20 round ruger ones because they are quite a bit harder to get because they don't sell them direct unless it is LEO.

No such luck, the mini and the AR are sadly not compatable. Ive snagged 20 rounders for the mini for like $13 at gun shows
