I just bought one with 150k on it hooked to a 727 and NP205.

i want to turn the pump up, but don't know what I am doing.

What cheap mods can i do? and what HP/torque will i gain?

I have never dealt with working on these engines and any info will be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

dtr is a good one and so is diesel bombers if you look in my sig the link for dieselbombers is there. other than that diesels are pretty simple once you get to understand them some more fuel and more air equal more power I am not to skilled with the 1st gen cummins but the people over on those sites should be able to set you in the right direction.

you kinda bought the most turdy of the turds of CTD's in the Dodge line up. You need to install an aftercooler (aka interooler). Also try to get a 92 or 93 tranny with a 4th gear. Better yet, any tranny with a 4th gear! The biggest and best mod I did to mine was rebuild the tranny. Low stall converter made driving the old truck fun! With the injectors in your non-intercooled truck, and addind an Aftercooler you could easly be in the 250hp range.

BUT, you first need guages. Pyro, tranny temp, boost, and engine temp to start with. Then a new turbo to cool down your engine after you turned up your fuel pump. The stock one SUCK big time. Really big time.

Try Dodgeram.org. they have some stuff there. Also, Turbo Diesel Resource is the best spot for info and other people who have been there and done that!
