Funny thing is...this is the only rust on the truck :confused: This thing is barely holding on. It's got a 1" long tear along the bottom, and dozens of pin holes through it. I shined a flashlight from the back side and it looked like swiss cheese :laughing: I've been towing upwards of 6,000lbs monthly with it, and Im suprised it ain't fallen off yet :laughing:

When I bought my jeep, the PO wanted to class 4 hitch off of it for towing his boat, and since he was gonna give me a class 2, I said sure (I don't tow anything with the jeep).
Well, the backside of the main tube on the class 4 was not even there anymore...so I actually got a better deal. he ended up buying a new hitch anyway.
I have always checked my hitches every year or so tomake sure they are still sound. I've seen too many like the one I took off and the one in the pic from people not ever checking them.

my buddy backed up into a parked car doing about 8 mph and his hitch folded in half near the receiver. fun times
