Here in Iowa it's well worth that if all got was the frame and running gear. I've been looking for one for quite some time but they are all out of the price range I am willing to pay. I have plenty of cabs and boxes so I'm not too picky, but people around here thing they are golden.

depends

465/205
open knuckle d44
12b rear.................well worth the money to build up from

420/d rocwel 221t
closed knuckle d44
12b rear..................ok but not exactly the rompn stomp setup to run.

Did they offer a 14b tow package that long ago or no? I'd say the trans/tcase is worth the money and part the rest out to make your money back.

no,

rears would be a 12, d60, or eaton ho52/ho72.

oops, didnt even pay attention to the first post, i said 12b, would be the d60 or eaton.
