a) what type of gear oil should I run in my SM465?
b) should I run it at normal level even though the oil now needs to feed the advance adapter converter I used to connect the 3 speed TC as well?
thank you in advance :)

80w90 Gear oil, I run the AA adapter to my Tcase, I think they use a sealed bearing that needs no lube anyway, so run it to the top of the fill plug, mine has been in since 98 like this, no problems.

Dam newbie texicans
Think they know everything.
Next thing you know they will be saying that Shiner Bock is good beer or something ;)
Like the man said. Fill that bad boy till it flows out of the fill plug. Then put the plug black in and wheel the daylights out of it..

I have run 2 different SM465's and I have found 90 weight with a quart of Lucas auto/manual tranny lube from Napa to be the key to a smooth shifter.

I'm using Redline shockproof 75/140 wt (the blue stuff not the red stuff) in my 465.
Shifts great, no probs...

Amsoil 80w90 gear oil in my 465 and filled her up to the plug. I used Amsoil products in three of my vehicles and am very happy with the results.

Hey Jason AFAIK, we do know everything, when are you bringing your fat ass to Texas for some real wheelin'. Really enjoyed meeting you and running with you at Moab, just wished you could have stuck aroudn for the duration. You would have really been down with the backwards night run on Pritchett Canyon.......I wasn't with them but they said it kicked major ass.

Donno, you sure my little 2F powered cruiser can hang with THE TEXANS???
Although, I keep hearing about this texas titty twister thing and it makes me scared...
Nolen was talking about Montrose later this fall. Could be fun.
You have no idea how hard it was to leave early and not really even say farewell. It sucked. A night run on pritchet backwards sounds like a great time! I never even heard you did it!
Bastards. ;)

Tom Pennington, Kristie, Red Fox, his daughter, Scott Havis , and Henry Brimmer all headed out to do, one of the hard core trails that ends at the exit of Pritchett.....they got there at 6 or so. Red Fox and daughter decided to come back to camp and the rest decided to run Pritchett backwards, they got home at 1am I was about frantic since my daughter was with them. But all was well, and they had a blast, I would not be surprised if Henry don't do a TT article on it, cause he had a blast.
