what works good for a pressure switch to cut the A/c compressor off at about 100# ?????

I just used one from a 110v compressor that I had in the shop. Works fine. And fully adjustable

Got mine from Grainger for $18.

this is the same thing that brad kilby at onboardair.com, and grainger is going to sell you, they come in all diffrent pressure settings and are adjustable.

I used the pressure switch from a ARB very small kicks on at 85psi and out at 110 It is mort expensive than the other switches but if size is a consideration it works great.

I used the ARB switch as well. I like it cuz it's nice and small. I think it was about 25 or 30 bucks.

You can also use the Quick Air Pressure switch. Looks similar to the ARB switch. It goes on about 80 and off at about 115. It is only $19. I got mine from Rubicon Express. Part # PS2 (I think)

I used an adjustable unit from McMaster Carr. I have it set for on at 80 and off at 110. It also has a pressure relief valve to allow easier compressor start ups. If you use this type, you need to get a check valve to prevent draining your tank, or cycling the compressor on and off.

Just go down to your friendly compressor store, OSH, Graingers, etc. Any old compressor switch will work. All it is, is a spring loaded set of points that break at a preset or adjustable value, depending on what switch you get. Voltage of the switch makes no difference.

I have the same ARB switch on my setup - it cost me about CDN $60.00 and kicks in at 85psi and off at about 100!

I have used the quick air one from Rubicon Express for about 3 years. Before that I ran those from 110v home units. Those suck!!! I went through 2 of them <IMG SRC="smilies/pissed.gif" border="0"> before I finally went with the quick air <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I'm using an industrial square D one that is adjustable but is set to kick on at 120 and off at 150psi, then I use a pressure regulator to knock it down to 85 for the arb's.
