So here is the deal.

I got this here axle called a salisbury (out of a land rover). It is a Dana 60 100% (no joke) except that it has a 24 spline 4 pin carrier rather than a 30 spline 2 pin carrier (forgive me as I know jack about D60 history/compatibility) and what I want to do is machine the hubs and stuff in a 35 spline carrier and 4.10s out of a ford D60 (and weld the carrier). Would this be doable on a 30 spline D60 assuming I machined the hubs?

thanks
Ron

If the carrier swaps then it shouldnt be a problem to bore out the spindles and insert 35 spline axles.

all dana axles are actually "salisbury".
it's the name of the design with the casting center section and the tubes pressed in, toyota actually calls it "salisbury" because it's the only axle they use like that.
it is a wicked looking axle (the casting, it's all set up for a 3 link) we put a detroit or an airlocker in a work can't remember which.
