i searched and came up with nothing, i was wondering if anybody has used the 80-98 ford f-350 front springs on the front gm truck. i have a 454 so i think weight should be ok as long as you dont buy a deisel spring.

why and arent they 3 inch springs?

Yes they are a 3" spring, but that does not matter. the Factory gm springs are 2.5 but get wide at the ends, that is why aftermarket springs have the wide bushings. I have done a few straight axle swaps using gm lift springs but have to use a ford rear shackle for a 3" spring, fits the aftermarket wide bushings perfect. Probably the only thing u need to check is the length, and it is a pretty stiff spring.
