Hey yall, I need some help and any input would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1980 Chevy short-box Custom 10. Its got a 4-speed manual tranny in it, and I wanna put a turbo 350 in its place. Whats all necessary for the swap. I have the Auto tranny w/ torque converter in my garage. I know I need the Flex plate, and linkage but what else do I need. Will it bolt right up, or will I need to do a bunch of work to it. I assume it had an auto in it at one time, because its got the dash bezel/lights and automatic steering column...Thank you for any help your able to swing my way.

get a flexplate, and it will bolt right up to your motor
Driveline length might have to be changed
as well as slip yoke and spline count and all that.
and I am too drunk to remember what else.:D

As long as you putting in a TH350 with an NP205 on the end of it, you won't have to change driveline lengths. Like has been said, you will need the flexplate torque converter, and shifters.
