My friend has a 93 Jeep Wranlger 4.0 4x4. He recently noticed when he locks in the four wheel drive the transfer case engages but the hubs dont.Is there something simple we need to look for?Like a vacuum line or something along those lines? Thanks ahead of time.

Another board said they felt like it was a vacuum hose broke off or got a hole in it.We are about to start tracing lines down.IS there any other thing we should look at?

Thanks

Look at the front axle disconnect. Double vacuum line that attaches to the right side of the axle tube.

Or it could be a pinhole from battery acid which is common too. Im going to tell u a secret sure fire way to fix this problem the first time.

First, go to the auto store and get a shit ton of vacuum like, like 20 ft if i remember right.

Second, going by one line at a time, replace it with said new vacuum lines.

Third, repeat until ALL the lines are replaced, then insulate if u wish.

This might sound like just throwing parts at a problem, but talk to anybody whos dealth with a D35 disconnect and they will largely agree with me. The problem u are describing has tons of info on it too, you probably could have found this using the search. :flipoff2:
