i was wondering if a 90 trans. will fit in a 88 4x4 pickup. im building an off road toy and trying to do a complete drive train conversion accept t case and axles. any help will due thanx.

as long as it's a 4x4 trans, yes. if you're going auto-manual, or vice versa, there is an oil gutter that you have to cut off the t-case, I believe, but I can't remember which tranny you have to cut it off for. Either way, it's not a big deal.

All V6 t-cases will mate to all V6 trannies and all 4-cyl t-cases will mate to all 4-cyl trannies. You can not put a V6 t-case on a 4-cyl tranny or vice versa.

A t-case from a manual has the oil gutter on it. You can just use a cut-off wheel to cut it off if you need to use the t-case with an auto tranny.
