just to make sure that new 1410 pinion yoke is gonna take some serious rock hits i figured i better test it so i smacked it with the hardest thing i had in the shop....................my head

it made a small mess on my shop floor.

but the good news is that it barley even dented the 1410 joint or yoke. :flipoff2:

Been there, I was changing the rear joint on the driveshaft on a trail, had it sitting up on the muffler when it fell on my head, just above my eye. Knocked my ass out cold, woke up to my buddies pouring beer on my crotch.:confused:

i was knock out cold. i came to with my wife standing over me screaming. i just looked up at her and said. "what"

reminds me of the time i was changing a pinion yoke on my old dana60 rear. i was layed under the jeep, took the pinion nut off, and reached up and grabbed ahold. well i had my head/face directly inline with the yoke so after a good tug it let loose all of the sudden and i smacked myself in the mouth with the yoke! i chipped a tooth after it had gone completly though my lip. man did it hurt. i was in the usmc at the time and was supposed to be at work. they didn't like that too much.

DOH!!! I was driving to work on the freeway when my rear u-joint on the rear shaft came apart. The driveline spun around and stuck itself between the body and the muffler. After tugging with all my might for a good 5 minutes I got it loose. Luckily my forehead was right there in the way or I coulda damaged something! Removed driveline and engaged 4x and got to work a bloody mess. Made for a nice story if nothing else.

Damn, if that yoke will standup to your head there's nothing that will fawk it up.;) :D

I was finishing up the exhaust a couple weeks ago before me and the wife went out to dinner. Socket slipping off bolt and landing on forehead = more blood than that on floor + trip to emergency room for stitches + no dinner. Wish I had thought to take pics:smokin:

damn i should have deburd that 1410 yoke - well if we used the 1310 stuff on the dana 60 you might have missed it and not knocked yourself out- but the minute you hit the trail the line hits the ground then you'd knock me out i'm sure- hey erik put a sticker on the wound huh! Jess:D

I hate laying under the rig and having to yank on something...It sucks...I was installing jesse's front rock shaft that he made up for my toy when the grease I had on my hands allowed it to slip out of my hand, down about 6 " and land square in the middle of my chest, yeah that felt good landing on the edge...

Or when I was reinstalling the steering column after modifying the shaft I was tugging and pushing to get it lined up so the bolts would go back in and it stuck, so I pulled a little harder and got a cheek full of toyota engineering...
